Our client is a reputable wet glue and reel-fed label manufacturer known for their commitment to quality and innovation in the printing industry.
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Flexographic Printer to join our client's team in Birkenhead. As a Flexographic Printer, you will play a key role in the production process, operating flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality labels for various applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate flexographic printing presses to print labels according to job specifications and customer requirements.
Adjust press settings such as speed, ink viscosity, and registration to achieve optimal print quality.
Monitor print runs closely, making adjustments as needed to maintain color accuracy and registration.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to ensure smooth operation.
Ensure compliance with quality control standards and conduct regular inspections of printed labels to detect defects or inconsistencies.
Work closely with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Willingness to work rotating shifts including days, afternoons, and nights, with different pay rates applicable.
Requirements:
Previous experience operating flexographic printing presses is essential.
Strong technical knowledge of flexographic printing processes and equipment.
Ability to interpret job specifications and adjust press settings accordingly.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot printing issues.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts including days, afternoons, and nights.
Salary, Shifts and Benefits:
Day Shift: £15.36 per hour
Night Shift: £19.04 per hour
Working Hours: 06.00-13.30 13.30-21.00 21.00-06.00 Rotating Shifts
