Position Overview: We are currently seeking enthusiastic Retail Assistants to join our client's team based in Thingwall, Wirral. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of the garden centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner, providing product information and advice as needed.
Assist with stocking and replenishing shelves, ensuring products are displayed attractively and neatly.
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting as required.
Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries of plants and gardening supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the management team.
Assist with the organization and promotion of special events or sales initiatives.
Uphold health and safety standards at all times, ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff.
Requirements:
Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential.
Passion for plants and gardening with a willingness to learn about different plant varieties and care techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with customers effectively.
Ability to work in a manual capacity with the potential of heavy lifting duties.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
Salary, Shifts and Benefits:
Pay rate of £11.44 per hour.
Working hours: To be confirmed, flexible to work part time or full time.
