Total Staff are recruiting on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer for a Night Shift ASU Operator based in Runcorn. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team focused on sterile production, with full training provided and long-term development opportunities.

Role Overview:

As an ASU Operator, you will play a vital role in the assembly and preparation of sterile production batches, ensuring all work complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). You will be responsible for accurately assembling, documenting, and transferring raw materials and completed batches, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble batches in line with batch documentation, completing all required paperwork
Prepare and transfer materials into the ASU (Aseptic Suite Unit) for production
Review post-compound documentation to verify product quality and ensure correct labelling procedures are followed
Prepare raw materials according to batch requirements and compile the Bill of Materials (BOM) for upcoming production
Follow the production plan and deliver batches in line with the compounding schedule
Maintain workflow efficiency and support continuous production output
Replenish materials and prepare components in advance for the next shift
Maintain documentation to GMP standards and uphold compliance
Follow good housekeeping and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe, clean working environment
Ensure correct and compliant disposal of waste from Grade C areas
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in aseptic manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, or a cleanroom environment (desirable but not essential)
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage workloads under pressure
A good understanding of cGMP and quality standards in regulated environments
Comfortable working nights and maintaining high focus during routine tasks
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Basic IT skills and strong numeracy for accurate documentation and stock tracking
Manual handling training and an understanding of health and safety protocols
